On April 30,2025 a celebration was held to honor the 2024-2025 Backpack Ministry volunteers. Also present at the celebration were pastors from supporting churches, members of the Duplin Christian Outreach Ministries (DCOM) Board of Directors, and other community leaders.
Duplin Christian Outreach Ministries (DCOM) was present for the Community Resource Day at the Magnolia Park on Saturday, June 21, 2025. Information regarding DCOM services, Feed Our Hungry Children/ Backpack Ministry, and Disaster Preparedness was distributed to those attending the event.
During the 2024-2025 School Year 8,052 backpacks for the weekends were distributed to students from food insecure homes. 750 backpacks were also provided for summer distribution. Thank you to the area churches, organizations, social groups, businesses, individuals, and grantors whose generosity made this possible.
Duplin Christian Outreach Ministries announces a newly appointed Executive Director.
